Posting of Report and Accounts

The board of Sports Direct International plc (the Company) announces that the Company’s Annual Report and Accounts and AGM notice will be posted to shareholders today.

In its preliminary results announcement on 24th July 2007 the Company stated that, at the AGM in September, shareholders’ approval would be sought for the purchase of 35 properties (33 retail and 2 office premises) from Mike Ashley, the Executive Deputy Chairman.  The Company has decided that it will not now seek that approval at the AGM, as there remain a number of matters to be finalised concerning the proposed acquisitions, but intends to seek shareholder approval at an EGM before Christmas.
